sweet night appliance
I have been loving the BEGO milled night appliances. I have done half a dozen of these now. They all have fit passively and retentively without adjustment. Occlusal accuracy is spot on too. I finally made one for myself this time. This is the nicest internal fit and general feel I have had - after about 25 years of making these on models with Bioacryl/ortho acrylic or with Ivocap injection molding. The material properties are perfect for gentle insertion and removal with good retention. Scanner is a Medit i500.
It looks absolutely perfect!
Just received the milled splint for Carnu. It looks absolutely perfect! I used 150um undercut allowance and it snaps perfectly on to a rigid printed model and fits perfectly. I expect the same with the patient – we’ll see how accurate my Medit i500 scanner is. This will be a good full arch test. I love the level of detail. Just what I was hoping for. Since you are able to provide this with no finishing, I can still refer to my centric posterior stops and to the protrusive and lateral movement design as I go to the mouth to refine using marking paper and my big lab acrylic bur. I have made a lot of these in the lab. This is way more efficient! And the acrylic is perfect compared with lab auto cure acrylic. If it fits passively in the mouth, I will be really excited. I will follow up and let you know. Curtis
